Foam cannon. DP Extreme vs DG CWC

I am looking to stock up before the spring. I have used, and was very happy with, DP Extreme. Great foam, thick, long lasting. But as with all things in life...good = $$. DG CWC is $30 /gal and DP is $50/gal. Anyone who has used both have an opinion on how much soap you had to use for each one? Obviously if CWC needs twice the concentration it defeats the cost savings. I am assuming quality of the product is the same for both.

Mike,

While I have not used DP Extreme I have used several soaps in my Gilmour Foam Gun and my top two choices for a foam gun/cannon would be Duragloss CWC and Optimum wash soap.

Both offer plenty of thick, rich foam and both clean (without stripping your LSP) very well.

Here is a great price on the Duragloss and if you spend over $50 you also get free shipping. Where you are in NY you would receive in a day or two.

Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate, 128 oz. (#902) - Duragloss - Autoality Incorporated

Meguair's hyper wash in my foam canon produces tons of thick foam.. Chemical Guys now has a snow foam available now on thier U.S. web site. Its under car soaps.

If you are using a foam cannon, pretty much any soap is going to foam like crazy. Your water hardness will play a role as well. Adding a bit of an actual snow foam like CG or Raceglaze will help the foam cling to vertical surfaces a bit better as well. As DG and Megs are probably the least expensive, maybe try them first. Are you using this for maintenance washes or are you trying to strip LSPs prior to waxing?

These are strictly maintenance products. Good suggestion about the snow foam. I may try adding some DP that I have to NXT and see what happens. Checked out the hyper wash on Meguairs website. If the DP/NXT combo doesn't foam and cling well, I may just try some of that. Thanks for the tips.
