FMJ Durability

Well I detailed my car last week and so far I can't say that it has lost any slickness at all or any shine. So far I am very happy and I am now further tempted to try some of their qucik detailer. With other products after the first wash I often notice a significant drop off with the first was but now in his case.

Nothing to worry about, washing regularly has never caused FMJ to lose its shine/slickness inside of 2 months for me. I have always layered FMJ 2x and durability seems to hold up very well. I used on my brothers car about one week before christmas and it still looks good after about 7 or 8 washes, always followed up by Wolfgang detail spray. I imagine that the Menzerna detailing spray will only help. Keep us posted on the detailing sprays performance it is going to be on my next order when CMA starts carrying FMJ in 32oz refills.

Well I always use Mist It by Malco as a detailing spray and have always been happy with it, but as I said I need to place an order with CMA and it may be on my shopping list also. I just got back from dropping off my brother off at his soccer practice and a few of the parents congratulated me on my new car, at this point I told them my car is 2 years old and gave them my card. Moral of the story is I guess my car never looked this good and I have always used high end products like Blackfire, Klasse, s100 to name a few LSP's

Finishing touch glaze is a great base for FMJ and it is reasonably cheap. Most times you can to go FMJ right from FPII. The glaze leaves a slightly deeper, glossier base IMO.

armoredsaintt: I just used Menzerna PO85RD as a base yesterday. From what I understand w/Menzerna is there are no oils or fillers which can prevent bonding to the surface. I have the Menzerna FTG, but I have not used it yet, but I will in the near future. Here are some pics.

Spectacular looking pics ther Kyle, amazing liquidity on paint that old. I have two questions where did you get anything from the CeramiClear line, and do you know when/if they are going to be commercially available? BTW you will not be disappointed by the FTG, I need to replenish my entire line soon and more of it will be included in that order.

Hey MS22,

The only place you can get the Ceramiclear line is through CMA, or Menzerna USA direct. Jeff at Menzerna tells me that nobody carries it because nobody can refinish a ceramiclear paint job in the U.S. So you have to get it directly from him, or CMA. If you can get your hands on PO106 or PO85RD, you will not be disappointed. It leaves a very clear, wet finish, blows Microploish (FP II) out of the water! If you want to order some PO85RD or PO106, PM me and I can set up joint order, because from Menzerna direct you have to have a minimum order of $50. PO85RD is $34.95, and PO106 is $39.95 a quart from Menzerna. So please let me know if you want to order some, I want to order more, but don't want to make an order over $50! And I think we have done business before MS22, on another site, so maybe another joint venture!:D
