Hey guys,

I am new to buffing out swirls and tried it on my new titan with a flex, optimum polish and a white lake country pad. I see the removal of hazing but the swirls just wont go away. Does anyone have particular experience with this combo? Id really like some help bc i started doing this as a job.

Thanks,

Aaron

I'd suggest picking up Menzerna PO203 or SIP and an Orange pad. You need something with more cut to remove the heavier swirls.

PO203/SIP w/Orange

Optimum Polish II w/white

LSP

Depending on colour(black, dark blue etc.) you may want to follow up optimum polish with Optimum Poli-seal and a Blue or black pad you remove any final hazing.

Nissan paint is pretty hard. Try using the orange pad since you have one on hand. Don't use too much product, Optimum polishes work best when you use less. About 3 pea sized drops are all you need. You should be using your buffer at the highest speeds, using enough pressure to lightly compress the pad and moving it at 1-2" per second with 50% overlapping passes.
