FK 218 vs 2180

Can anyone compare the two FK1 sealants? I know the 218 is said to have cleaners, but how strong are the cleaners? Something like AIO? Enough to remove a glaze beforehand? From what I have seen the 218 looks excellent, but can it be used over an acrylic graze (EZ creme glaze) or will it remove it?

2180 doesn't clean the paint. The 218 will remove a weaker glaze, but can co-exist with a tougher one such as 303. Of course, application technique and pressure counts too.

Bence,

Your totally an FK1 guru but i wanted to say that on my bottle 2180 Ultra Seal that used and posted in click'n'brag it says:

"2180 removes surface accumulation and oxidation while penetrating and sealing hte pours of the paint...."

I assumed it did this using cleaners as there are no abbrasives, i would have used my EZ-G before if it dident have cleaners!!

Geoff, EVERY product cleans a bit. That's the nature of solvents. However, it has no dedicated surface cleaners.

::thx For clearing that up!! I will be out there with my EZ-G in a few weeks after a de-swirling of the boot, roof and bumper!!

What are the FK1 glazes like??

Bence it says your from Hungary, where you do get your FK1 in europe?? Im from the UK and we dont have a dedicated reseller

I've used only the 303. I was surprised because it had a pronounced mechanical bite! So it not just a simple glaze, but a correcting one.

I bought all my FK1 stuff directly from them, because we don't have resellers either. Two bottles are around US$50-60 shipped, and I paid once US$85 for five bottles. Not exactly cheap...

218 is like a AIO . Work real nice and take of any exhisting wax/polish/sealant . I have 2180 but not sure if it did anything , maybe even dulled it a bit over the 218.

Correct me if I'm wrong please.
