Fixing a Bumper Scrape - Advice Needed

So I scraped the bottom of my bumper on a parking divider today. My car is lowered and I didn't brake fast enough. I have a couple gashes on the underside of the front bumper, which isn't really noticeable, but its going to bother me.

So here is my plan of attack, please feel free to give advice and pointers. I plan on wetsanding first to level the surface, add touch up paint (6 hours between each layer) until gashes are filled, then wetsand again and polish. Couple questions: what grit sandpaper should I use when in the process and where? Where's the best place to get 1000/2000/3000 sandpaper?

Thanks guys.

I don't know do Autopia-CarCare and Autopia sponsors sell sandpaper or not, but check them first. If that doesn't work check out Auto Detailing Solutions that sells Meguiar's Unigrit in eaches (which goes up to 3000 grit). You might also want to check out Mirka Abralon that goes up to 4000 grit (search for thread started by me, Morbid posted links where to get it in smaller quantities, thank you Morbid one more time).
