Fit of MF Bonnets

I have a Meg's Ultimate Bonnet which I haven't used, but figured if I did I would want more than one on hand, so since I was ordering from the Autopia store I thought I would try some of the Sonus DAS Buffing Bonnets. It's recommended to use them on the Sonus DAS Orange Buffing Pad, which I don't have, so I tried fitting one over an orange Propel pad. It was so difficult to get over, I gave up, and tried my Ultimate Bonnet, which I was able to get on with some fiddling. So I went back to the DAS Bonnet, and finally got it over the pad, which scrunched it up. Searching for this, I found some discussion, but no real resolution.

I have two questions:

1.What size are the Sonus DAS pads? I kind of presumed they were 7.5...looking back at the picture mebbe not...text doesn't say. Are they smaller than a Propel pad?

2. Is this normal with MF bonnets? Do they need to be stretched out first or something? I expected them to be tight, but not *this* tight.

Mike,

The DAS Bonnet is cut to fit pads from 6-7.5 inches. When used on a 7-7.5 inch pad, the pad will compress to fit.

We will have a larger bonnet made in the future for the 7.5" DAS pad because it is such a tight fit.

Yes I just got the DAS Kit and the fit is very poor. I feal like I am going to destroy the orange pad if I use it because it gets so smashed up. I did email support from the store I am sure they have an answer. Overall though the kit was everything I wanted.

Same problem for me too with those orange pads and the bonnet, as it turned out I had also used a megs pad and the bonnet fitted nicely over those.

The only other thing I can think of is perhaps to use the small white pad that comes with the PC, the bonnets will go over those no problem, and the white pads are not much use for anything else so why not? Only drawback is that you have to unscrew the head and place on the white pad.
