Adopt a shelter pet!
The weather finally broke and got into the high 50's this weekend so I spent Friday doing my first Dawn wash, then another Dawn wash, then the Zaino clay bar and then a Z7 wash on my white Silverado.
I'd never used a clay bar before and evidently I didn't have much crud on the paint as the clay didn't get very dirty. I did refold it once but that was all that was necessary. It made me wonder if I was doing something wrong.
Today I applied two coats of Zaino and it was a very easy process. I was very careful to put it on lightly and used about 1 to 1 1/2 ozs of Z2 and ZFX and that was covering everything....windows, chrome wheels, tonneau cover.....everything twice. It looks great and I'm happy with it.
I had about 1/2 oz of Z2/ZFX left over and I put it in the fridge with the thought that it might be ok to use tomorror when I plan to do 2 or 3 more coats.
Will it keep? Will it be useable tomorrow? Or....am I just going to ruin the bottle?
Thanks for all the help guys. It's great to be able to use your experience in making the correct product and application decisions. I really appreciate your willingness to take your time to help us newbees in the world of "real" detailing.
