I washed the car today and decided to polish the car with Menzerna twins using the PC. I only did the hood just for fun, I wasn't intend to do the whole car. After polishing the car with with IP and FP I still see swirl marks!! Here are my questions, is it because I spray water on the pad?? Is it because I used too less product (but I can still spread it evenly across the hood)?? Is it becasue I move the PC too fast?? Is it because I used the wrong pad (yellow for IP, orange for FP)?? I think it was because I move the PC too fast but the product already turned into powder so I assume the polish already broke down :nixweiss?? btw, I sealed the car with Klasse twins after that.

Or it could be that the Menzerna polishes just aren't aggressive enough for your marring. Hard for me to say as I've only used the FP, and I found it *very* mild.

You need to determine if what you see is a) left over "old" marring that you didn't get out, or b) "new" marring from your polishing process. I'd guess (and hope) that it's the former.

Most people under-estimate how long you have to work the surface to remove marring with the PC. You can spend *hours* on one panel. Often you'll have to work the aggressive product to powder many times before you get all the marring out. By the time you switch to FP, you should have an almost-perfect surface.

I assume you're using speed 5-6.

Oh, and you might want to do your final polishing with a white polishing pad instead of the orange one. So it would be IP/yellow, IP/orange, FP/white (if *I* were doing it).
