First time polishing, problems with finishing

Hey guys I tried out my new PC today on my friends beater which was in pretty rough shape. Its white so it was pretty hard to see where the product was but I think I did alright. After 2 passes with SIP on a 4" orange it came out great. The paint was very cloudy and hazy before. When I went to apply my 106fa on my 4" white, afterwards the paint looked worse. It looked hazy and cloudy. The side that I only used SIP looked much much clearer in the halogens. I moved slightly faster than when I was using my SIP. Probably 2" per second with 106fa, and zero to little pressure. Anyways I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong or what you guys may suggest I do? Thanks.

You didn't break down the polish. Use 15-20 lbs or pressure (near enough to stall the pad) and work in overlapping passes for 3-5 minutes until the polish begins to clear or flash

On a rotary it is best to use a finishing pad, meduim pressure to begin, then ease up as the polish works through the cycle.

On a portercable you are going to need a fair amount of pressure because the machine is limited in power.
