Thought I`d share my experiences & results of ceramic coating. After much deliberation on which ceramic coating to use, I ultimately decided to go with BudgetPlan1`s preferred route of Kamikaze Miyabi + ISM + Overcoat.

I did the following:
  • Gyeon Iron
  • Rinse
  • Another pass of Gyeon Iron
  • Two-bucket wash with Gyeon Bathe
  • Clay bar + Machine Polish (with the help of a local detailer, as I didn`t have the equipment)
  • Followed by a coat of Kamikaze Miyabi
  • 6 hours later followed by a second coat of Kamikaze Miyabi
  • 12 hours later applied a coat of Kamikaze ISM
  • 20 hours later applied a coat of Kamikaze Overcoat
  • Lastly, applied a coat of Gyeon Tire
Here are the results:

Very special thanks to BudgetPlan1 for discussing different ceramic options and techniques with me, The Guz for doing the same and offering guidance on products/equipment, and rlmccarty2000 for his insight on top coats.

I love the sharp lines of modern cars but also hate them because they can never to just right. The sandwich really accentuate the lines of this car, looks *sharp*.
