Hey all, this is my first time posting pics here. I've learned quite a bit and finally got around to taking nice pics that show the detail.

My process:

1. wash w/dish

2. Claybar / wash w/Meguiars car wash

3. Klasse AIO (paint cleaner/prep) via DA buffer

4. 3M Swirl Remover (I still don't believe this is doing anything for me, but what the hell.) via DA buffer

5. Blackfire SG (sealant)

6. NXT

and ta-da.

I didn't touch the rims, tires, trim or windows; just the paint. Got a 5+ hour trip coming up (for a show) and had to get the paint protected. The rims I will do once there, etc.

Here's an engine shot for those interested, I didn't touch it today but it IS my favorite part. If anyone is familiar with a stock Mustang engine bay, you'll love this. Wires, hoses, etc. are hidden, all the ugly swiss-cheese holes have been filled in, all metals have been polished or chromed, entire bay was painted, and a bunch of custom touches.

amazing car and amazing attention to detail in the motor area! nice!

? though, why use AIO before 3M SWR? I thought 3M/DACP then AIO on top.

Looks great either way!

I'm new, I make mistakes :)

I've just put a thread in another forum asking about my processes, I still need to learn quite a bit.

But it did turn better than ever, nonetheless! I am very happy.

Thanks for your words!

Thank you guys! Nice to see some Stang love here too. I also am surprised by the responses in such a short time!

Hondaguy, I'm also a bodybuilder. Great to see another!

Fabulous car! :up

And...nice work. As a fellow car restorer, I do appreciate the amount of work that went into the engine compartment.
