First Customer of 2004 Season

Many thanks go to Brad from NC who got me to detail his parent's car now that he has moved to the west coast.

The car was a debadged 2003 330Ci. It was in pretty good shape with the interior needing the most work. After washing it was possible to see some very light spider webs.

Temp was in the low 70s and threatening to rain nearly the entire time. But it held off until I was driving off and then it came down in buckets. As such, it was a very dark day and I did raise the exposure on the camera (Nikon Coolpix 4300) to get a little brightness out of the drab, natural lighting. The pics were also resized down to 640x480 in order to post them here.

The process...

Wash: Meg's GC

Dry: CWB then Autopia WW

Interior: Lexol

Exterior: Mothers Reflections + S100

Tires: Meg's Hi Endurance

Windows: Stoners with MF

The pics...

very very nice work! some interior shots?

Thanks! Unfortunately, I was in such a hurry to get packed up before it started raining that I forgot all about the interior until I got home and was downloading the pics.

D'oh!!! :(

Just had to say that it is a 2004 330Cic, not a 2003 330Ci. The extra c is for convertible. You can also tell it is a 2004, not a 2003, because of the front bumper and LED taillights.

Here's a picture of my 2004 330Ci after it got a new M-tech front bumper courtesey of the other guys insurance.. I'm waiting for the PC and pads to come in before I really do a detailing job on it. Plus, it was a little cold in SE Michigan yesterday.

Thanks for the pointers!

luke667 I believe his rims are part of M tech or series line. My friend's bros 03 330ci had the same rims and I remember they had the signature M on them and his bro said they werent cheap.

I wouldnt mind owning either one of those 3 series...there both really hot.

M-tech is not an aftermarket bumper in the traditional sense. It is an internal BMW line. BMW now offers that bumper on the new BMW 330i (or now Ci or Cic) Performance Package. Also known as the ZHP package.

The wheels that I have a the M68, which do have a ///M insignia on them. They were a part of the Sport Package. The convertible does not have the sport package and have the stock wheels. You can also see the amber corner lights on the front corner of the car and the fenders. You get clears lights (which not that I can compare looks a whole lot better) with the Sport Package. The ZHP have the M135 wheels.

It is close, but M-tech is made specifically for the non-M 3-series. If you look closely, the M3 bumpers protrude forward in the center where the center opening is. Other than that, I think they are very similar. The M3 also has wider fenders, so the bumper is contoured to fit those. There have been some people with non-M3 cars that have put the M3 on with some cutting and putty. In my mind, not worth it...
