Finally cleaned up the Envoy

I've been ignoring the Envoy for almost a year now. It has gotten a few one-step waxings with PwC, but nothing major. It was cool and overcast day yesterday, so I thought I'd give it a full detail.

I had washed it the night before, so it was clean and ready to go. I clayed the whole thing. We have a big fallout problem here, so that was really needed. It had it's share of light to medium swirls and a few scratches and parking lot scuffs. I hit it with Optimum Compound and an Orange Pad and followed that with Poorboy's SSR1 on a White Pad. I decided to top it off with Menzerna FMJ. I really like that sealant. It leaves the surface as slick as any sealant I've tried before.

Today, the tires got Four Star Tire Gel (along with being rotated) while the wheel wells and doorhandles got Poorboy's Trim Restorer. Finally, all the window glass got hit with Quik Shine. It was a Frankenstein-esque detail with several different manufacturers involved in the detail. :)

It was still a bit cloudy today, so I don't have any full-sun shots. Hopefully these will do fine. Tomorrow I will be cleaning up the interior. I didn't meant o make this a three day project, but I had a few other things going on at the same time.

Maybe I'll get some sun shots tomorrow if the weather complies.

Hey Scott the truck looks great.

Funny I don't remeber you taking any winter pics pics like this when you lived in NY

jay is correct!! the truck does look great!!

I liked the part of the Frankenstein-esque detail. Nothing wrong with using a lot of products.

Sun shots tomorrow. Calling for clear and cold here in Harker Heights.

Thanks for the compliments. The truck is a pain to keep clean though. In the two and half years we've had this truck, I don't think I've ever washed it and not missed a spot somewhere on the lift gate. :)

I kinda like it here in Texas. I can do a full detail, outside, and in December. It has been in the upper 20's in the mornings though. The weathercsters down here use words like "frigid" and "bitter" when describing such low temps. That amuses me. :)
