Title says it all guys. I've been working with my 9227C and want to expand my pad collection. I've searched and it seems there's varying opinions on whether to go with a smaller platepads or larger plate/pads.

DOes anyone has experience with this rotary that can give advice on the backing plate and pads they're using? I just want some specific info before I order. Thanks.

Ya, I'd like a suggestion on wool too. The Edge system does look good for non-wool pads. No one has had any trouble with the adapter flying off? I will check it out.

+1 for edge 2k

no more worn out backing plate

no more off centered pad(pc doesnt matter to much but on rotary it does)

Picus-

with the edge your pads are always centered....

no backing plate....

you get double sided pad(high quality pads)

i have the edge wool pads which are double side and the real beauty is since they have four diff cut you can custom any of there pads foam or wool so for example one side can be wool and the other side cutting pad save time

plus to answer your other ?

there cutting pads are stiffer (durafoam) so more force can be applied without it bending as always it recommend that pad always to be flat

hope that help......i am simply give one mans opinion to another

I like to work small so I have a 6 inch acking plate and use my PC pads as rotarty pads as well. Th e 7 and 8 inches dont allow me to get the control that I want.
