Filthy rotten dirty to clean and shiny....

Autopia fire/rescue.
I must confess...I haven't been Autopian lately. The blizzard of 05 followed by five straight days of 50 degree temperatures made my vehicles a mess.

I brought my truck into the firehouse last night at 6:00 PM, vacuumed and cleaned the interior.

At 7:00PM, I washed it and rinsed the undercarriage... two hours later, it still wasn't quite done, as I had to go through the stuff in the console.

At 9:00 PM...took a break to watch 24, and was dispatched to a a fire alarm activation at the Middle School which ate up most of the hour while waiting for the City's fire alarm tech to arrive to repair the system.

Got back to quarters at 9:45, washed the truck again as I had misssed a spot. Dried it and left it in the station overnight.

This morning... the roads were dry, so I brought it in and detailed it.. it's back to autopian standards...at least for a day... as we are getting another 6 to 12 inches of snow on Thursday...

The Jeep.... that's next weeks project!

Hear you on that one, I live in Pa and the weather has been warmer but with all snow melting the roards are all wet and sling dirty water all over my truck. at least you got some dry road conditions to work with for now. great to see I am not the only one who hates to see their hard work covered by dirt and grime. I feel you pain

Flatstick , where in Pa. do you live ?

It thawed out here in Pittsburgh over the weekend and I attacked my gf's car & my truck like a starving man at a free buffet.

Same problem , though , as by Tuesday it was raining and both were covered in filth.

Makes me wanna cry!

For real up to 12"? I heard just 6" at most.

I am near the Scranton area, weather was nice on the weekend even though I work every weekend. got two of my trucks all cleaned up after work and two days later my trucks had a case of the winter wash me again soon blues !

The "major storm" that blackcaraddcit mentioned fizzled out to mostly rain and a few inches of the white stuff, not the 12+ predicted to fall here in Southern New England.

Today was the Jeep's turn to get the beauty treatment. A relatively quiet day at the firehouse allowed me to wash the vehicle, toss a fresh coat of wax on it and clean the interior! ;)

I haven't been a very good Autopia either lately. It has been raining on and off for a week and a half and I have been going out in the muddy desert with my buddies riding some quads and dirtbikes. It looks like my truck is more of a mud machine than anything.

This weekend will certainly be a long one with a lot of washing involved.
