Filling gash in plastic headlamp...

Hey guys-



Somehow I got a gash in one of my headlights, no idea how it happened. Its not bad but annoys the hell out of me, its about 3/4 of an inch long. Its really deep, your whole fingernail can fit in it.



My question is, is there any way to fill it in to at least make it less noticable? I thought about trying some clear touchup paint and have heard somewhere they make a plastic filler to fix just such a problem.

I'd try the quick windshield repair kits available at most automotive stores. I would think it would make a seamless repair. I used one recently on my wifes car and it came with clear plastic sheets to cover the resin until it dried so I could finish the face of the damage to be the same as the windshield. Flat a slightly curved. I'm sure you could fine sand the repair with a dremel tool or use the edge of a razor blade to match the surface of your headlight after it dries.:xyxthumbs
