Lets say if the Festool BP didnt come off, Which machine would you prefer?
That's a tough question to answer because bp did come off and I have not had a chance to use Flex yet

so I might be speaking out of my ...
... but let's try wild guessing anyway just for the ... and giggles because I have nothing better to do for next at least several minutes (I am still waiting for the other team to give me a 'go' for my step). If we ignore that whole OPM vs RPM discussion and assume both have pretty close correctional ability, plus if we assume I am allowed to have only one tool and I am not allowed to use my typical solution to such dilemmas by having both, then Festool might end up being the one out of following reason:
My injured elbow does not like vibrations. Forced mode does not vibrate but it does introduce stress on body if you do not know how to handle it. Once paint is corrected need for forced mode goes away. You can do paint maintenance in random orbit mode. In random orbit mode you almost do not notice that thing is running, that is how easy on you it is. Flex is always in forced mode, you can not have random orbit mode only. However, I have not tried it yet. When I do it might turn out to be a non issue because, for start, it's handle is longer so it will need less pressure back by your hand.
Again, this is all theoretical, proof is in the pudding.

You can have mine if you are not bothered with what bothered me. Just don't expect to get too much of a steal as they did offer me a full refund plus they are paying for shipping back. Most I can give you off is $20 from price tool + backing plates + wool pad would cost you, your pickup, however you would still be saving a chunk from total price, like $70 or so, compared to buying from distributor as you would not be paying shipping that is usually approximately $50 and/or tax. So, I lose $20 but I do not have to deal with shipping it back, and you save approximately $70 you would pay elsewhere.
