I was just wondering b/c it seems like he doesnt have any special cleaners for bird droppings, water spots, weird spills and residues...tia

I use the Z-6 QD for all of those.

I keep it and a 100% cotton cloth in my trunk.

Last time I found bird remnants on my trunk, I doused the spot with Z-6 and gently wiped away. Sprayed again, and buffed off.

Worked great.

I could probably just use water, but I know that bird droppings have some sort of grit in them, so I use the Z-6 to lubricate the spot, so the grit won't grab the finish.

i have a big bird doodie problem where i live. Z6 works great to swipe off the small doodies. i try to douse the area real good and not rub too hard for fear of scratching if there's any grit in there.

btw, jts, how is your jeep doing? Did anyone from the board take a look at it? still swirled up?

Couple things:

1.Okay Ill keep Z6 in mind!!

2.Debaser, I still have a few swirls in the finish. Basically, I took it to a guy that had some experience(30 yrs), and I think he got rid of some if not most of the marks. But, big but here, that was a week ago, so this weekend I am really going to see how many swirls are still there when I wash it...

Ill post some pics when I get everything squared away!!!

Thanks guys!!!

I have a spray bottle of Z6 in the trunk, like my brethern. I also have a Z7 solution (using distilled water) in a spray bottle. And, a bottle of straight distilled water.

Yesterday, I parked on the street next to a business that has the unbelieveble and inconsiderate practice of turning on their sprinklers twice a day, during the day time. Huge water spots when I got back to the car. The Z6 would not take them out completely. The Z7 did. Then, I sprayed the distilled water on, and wiped, to get the Z7 off.

Do you use just a cotton towel? I swear, I was using Z-6 w/ a 100%cotton towel and I was putting some micro-scratches in the clear.

Oh, and do you guys spray it right on to the dusty areas and do you wait at all before you start wiping???

Thanks

Oh great, as if the teaser pics of a red F40 doesn't pique my interest now we have "an incident" to anticipate. (just joking with ya, hope it wasn't too bad).

Teasing is right:iagree:

Bob, that looks like soot on your claybar (just the right color from diesel exahust). Waiting to see this write-up :toetap05:

F-40 correction and detail cont...

Here are the rest of the pics, had to hustle on this car so not billions of pics and documentation of every step. There was some pretty nice amount of marring, but the majority of the time was spent on the Lexan engine cover which was a PITA to correct.

Some of the deep RIDS were not going anywhere though with twenty years of built up scratches(1990 model year car).

As I could not move the car for a proper wash I cleaned the wheels in place with Auto Glym wheel cleaner and rinsed with my low pressure washer and purified water/ before dirty wheel.
