Time to reorder....I never really liked the results of Zaino on dark colors.

What would you use. I'm considering Blackfire or Moose Wax.

I have no experience with any of the products you listed.

Based on claims, reviews, and other statements made here, I'd say... well, hell, all of them. Aren't they all supposed to look great on black?

This is, by far, one of my most unproductive posts ever.

Black looks good even if you cover it in liquid giraffe snot ......

I stick to what I know, Megs machine glaze and S100 or AIO and UPP.

Depends on durability and cost requirements.

i used blackfire on my black BMW and wasn't happy with it because the the streaking and haze it left...it needed to be topped by Souveran to eliminate the haze/streaking (which i think is a mandatory unnecessary step)

A Mandatory unnecessary step. So you must absolutely, possitively remember to forget about it.:wall

I was going to ask what you smoke until I saw your handle.:rofl

jsoto,

I have a jet black BMW and I love the combo of Poorboys EX sealant with a Souveran wax topper.

Here is a pic of EX x 3 with a Souveran x 1 topper. I use Crystal Mist QD to keep it up inbetween waxing.

Right now, my current combination is Clearkote's Vanilla Moose, Car Polishes Final Polish and S100 Paste Wax.

This is a BMW 740iL that I used Meguiars DACP and Swirl Free Polish (it has serious swirls), Vanilla Moose and S100 on:

This is Vanilla Moose and Moose Wax:

Admittedly, it can be hard to compare cars that are in the sun with cars in the shade, but I think you can see any of the three combos look terrific.

You may want to get a couple of products to try and go with which one you like best.

Pre-protectant prep is the best product for black. Achieve your depth, wetness and gloss prior to the toppings ( protectants). This can be done with paint cleansers - Vanilla Moose, P21S GEPC, 3M IHG are my favorites.

After prep:

Poorboy's EX, Blackfire II, Moose Wax, and of course topped with P21S or better yet Souveran.

okay.....washed the car today and it has some minor dealer induced swirls.

Here's my orderlist - any tip, suggestions, greatly welcomed
