Favorite metal polish?

I've been using Optimum Metal Polish on chrome wheels, exhaust and anything that looks like chrome and loved it!

Well, it's almost finished now. I would like to try something else. Perhaps a little stronger? Easier to work with? Any other favorite metal polishes out there that does everything from exhaust to wheels?

Hey Scott, Is Optimum that much better than Mothers? I have been buying more and more of their products (Optimum). So far so good.

Used Optimum Metal Polish yesterday on the SS megs tips on my Marauder. Don't see a reason to use anything else. Look like chrome!!

Not having used Mothers in a few years and therefore not being able to do a direct side by side comparison it is hard to say exactly "how much better" it is, but OMP works very fast and leaves metal looking superb. I believe it was originally developed for Victory Motorcycles (Optimum makes their house brand of detailing products) so it is definitely a metal specific formulation.

I've also been using Optimum for a while now and have been very happy with it....it is rather mild though and there have been several times were a more aggressive polish has been needed. ;)

Another vote for Optiumum Metal Polish

if it works great for you now, why switch?

on a side note, it does work TOO well...lol, on my beater honda accord, it had the gold exhaust tips...well, now they are silver because the polish took the fake gold stuff right off, LOL! I think it looks better that way anyway, lmao.

For the guys that have posted here and are fans of the Opt Metal Polish can you please tell me what you like about it over your previous go to metal polish....

If you wouldn't mind telling me what your previous go to metal polish was that would help me out as well

TIA

If the condition is pretty good and just needs a bit brightening then I use Mothers Billet, seems to get me the best results and removes any micro scratching and hazing leaving a mirror like finish.

If the condition needs some restoration I use Heavy Metal polish (green and blue), it has much better cutting ability and can remove oxidation.

What I like is that it works quick, doesn't dry out quickly and puts an amazing shine on metal and chrome. I've used several polishes in the past, Meguiars, Mothers, Blue Magic, etc. Nothing really wrong with any of them, I just feel that OPM leaves a better shine.

I use Never-dull cotton wadding & Maas polishing creme everywhere. The Navy said it was good enough for my uniform, so i figure it is good enough for around the house & car (-:
