My L5-S1 is killing me!
So my wife is driving along minding her own business and "something" gets kicked up from a car in front of her---no time to react. She's lucky it didn't go through the windshield! I've seen rock chips and dents, but ripping a hole in the metal??? :nono :ticked

New hood here we come. This further supports my theory you can't drive anything nice in southeast Michigan.

That sucks man. Dod you need an entire hood or can that be repaired?
 
That is unbelievable! Luckily it did not go through the windshield and nobody in the car was hurt. On a lighter note this should be a fun one to explain to the insurance company.
 
I don't think I would *want* someone to try and repair it....
Worst part is she is not in a hurry to get it fixed!?!? Am I suppose to wash around that area? :lol
 
make sure the water does not drip from the hole onto the clean detailed engine. JK. That is crazy how that happened.

Probably what? 5,000-10,000 cars on your streets today, most of which get very little care and which one gets the gouge?

Don't worry, it's only a Ford Focus :lol And it's not my car, thank god.
I did just finish putting a coat of CMW on though :( I did not believe her when she called and told me she had a hole in the hood :eek
 
Wow...talk about a thin clearcoat. :)

I have never seen that before. Just call it a "Speed Hole" and sell the hood to some kid who has the big spolier, fart can and LED windshield squirters on his car. :D

PLEEEZE no Ford jokes here. This was a SERIOUS matter. It could have happened to any car.

Besides, I own a Ford and I just bought my wife a Focus.

Looks like an M-16 ripped through it. Glad no one was hurt. I would love to see the look on the adjusters face.
