F-body "Gathering 9" car show pics (56K = instant thermonuclear meltdown)

I think I would've been right at home down there prepping the car. I like solitude when I work though so that:

1. You don't see my (many) flaws

2. You don't hear me cursing my fbody

3. Less of a tendency of liking other fbodies and loathing my own!

Ha....Still an awesome looking event...one of these days!

Any GM Big wigs like Scott Settlemire or others?

:LOLOL

Scott is actually there every single year. He's the one that brings the two truck loads of GM vehicles. He will autograph anything you give him and hangs out and party's with everyone at night. He is one of the most down to earth folks I know and very passionate about these cars. Heck...I'm a nobody that he sees once a year and yet he still remembers my name and my car!!

Scott is a good guy. He posed with me and my fbody club three years ago at SLP CAD at Englishtown, NJ.

He made a brief appearance up near me on the island a couple of years back, and even wrote to my club's forum. I was mad though, because I couldn't make it. Never enough time to....ok enough random rambling.

I was very impressed with Mike's mobile office: he's got a generator, pressure washer and 6.5hp vacuum just in the trailer plus all the usual detailing supplies and MF and a special container for his boutique products for high end cars and Autopians.

The Denali is also something cool. Tons of legroom in back and it looks awesome in Zaino and the chrome front grill. You could live out of that thing.

The new Corvette which I will post pics of later was just fabulous in a custom silver which will be an option on the Z06. I've always liked the Vette but this is one that has me thinking seriously. Just magnificent curves and tasteful styling even in the interior. :xyxthumbs

Mike, I had an outstanding time at the show also. Thank you very much for letting we watch you and Jerry detail all those nice rides! I learned a lot from you guys.

And Mike, those crowds you spoke of that were around my car I think most were asking me questions about your beautiful WS6.

Mike - Great job as always. that F-body gathering looked like a great time for all; even though I am a Ford guy. Did you get rid of your lighting? Congrats again for Lola taking home 1st place:xyxthumbs :bow

Thanks again all!!

Todd...yes...the first week in March. I have to hire some help this season and the idea of driving around in a regular cab truck with another guy with all of our stuff just wasn't appealing to me.

Here is a video put together by one of the members of the Lethally Injected F Body club. LIFB is one of our "younger" clubs and always an abosolute blast to party with. Even though the cars are no longer made its nice to see another generation aspire to own and mod them.

The video has some 18-21 year old humor and runs for about 10 1/2 minutes..

AMAZING :bow :bow !

What a time you guys had!

Mike, Lola looks amazing as always...Blackbird, +10 for you and your Heineken swig at the end of the day :). and +100 for the Z06...man, that thing must've turned heads.
