Extreme Cut Plus

Got my package of samples from Hi-Temp. So Cool

Anyways, does anyone have any significant experience with EC Plus? Sounds narly. How aggressive are we talking here?

I have seen it on their site, but never tried. If it is anything like regular EC, it's a great product. Have you used the EC?

How did you get the samples?

I told them I'm a professional, gave them my info, and asked if I could try some of their products. EZ.

I have not tried any HT products. Is the EC comparable to #84 or #85 cut-wise?

Yeah, I guess that's not a hard feat. It's time for MEgs to revamp.

Cuts like #85, finishes better than #82. How's that for a timesaver? :D

Even on severly marred finishes one can easily use HT EC @1500-1700 RPM's with a polishing pad, step down to FP or BF SRC FP, then go to LSP. It's an amazing product.

Thanks. Now I wish I would have got some regular EC, as I have a feeling the EC Plus has some extra large abrasives thrown in for good measure.

Have you tried OHC or PG? If so, would you say it finishes down as well?

I'll try the EC Plus tomorrow on a '03 Red Vette that is "Fammered"!

This is why I like PG so much...can follow with final finish on everything but black. But Hi-Temp is cheap:). R U mixing any optimum or RMG in with it?

I don't know what is the plus in the EC+, but regular EC is a velvety smooth, thick liquid. As it contains micro abrasives, it doesn't feel gritty at all.

Just talked to Hi-Temp, apparently EC + (i.e. 440) is only marginally more aggressive than regular EC (420).

I like the concept behind that...more small abrasives rather than larger abrasives that tend to cause deep swirls/gouges.

rag,

very friendly over the phone werent they, only they didnt send me any plus dangit. anyhow im sure youll like most the levellers they sent you and the leather treatment. let me know if you think as high of it as i do.

I know we spoke via PM, but for others who read this in the future.

I tried PG and OHC, IMO the EC cuts more and finishes better than both. I typically mix it 50/50 with OP (on the pad, not the bottle). Props to Sean for that.

I second this opinion - For those of you reading with the cyclo at least...I've tried both PG and OHC and EC finishes down to *almost* lsp ready...just quick hit it with a finishing polish and your all set
