I just purchased a few of these applicators mainly for their size and shape so I can evenly apply polish and wax by hand. Reading the description on Autopia's site it refers to using the dimpled side and the one pad I bought (gold) the dimpled side is gold and the other flat side is white so i seems to me to use the dimpled side. However, I read a thread about Mike Phillips using these pads and it included a pictorial. Mike seems to use the flat side and not the dimpled side according to the pictures. So you can see I am a little stumped and I do not want to use the wrong side which may give me unwanted results. Any suggestions one what side to use would be helpful.
