Engine Surface Rust

I stored my truck in metal steel clading building for the winter. Discovered it was stupid idea. First issue is temperature change and also noticed that snow had blown in all over the ground and froze. Issue is with my motor I have this white powder over the block. Whats the safest and ideal product to remove this and make cast look new again?
 
Any chance using Gunk Engine Brite with brush will work? I have some in the garage that I purchased awhile back.

I've never used it, but you could try it out. Just put some on the brush and test a section and see how it works.
 
I wouldn't use GUNK products ever again. WAY too strong, actually corrodes aluminum . Use diluted APC and various brushes and rinse well.
