Electric Cord Reel (& Poorboys Spray and Wipe)

Reeling up electric extension cord has bugged me and been a hassle....until I got this gadget called the Wonder Winder.

It's the thingee/contraption with the basketball net type of basket on the bottom of it.

It works really well, perfectly in fact, has been my experience. I"ve had it for a month or more now and have used it on many occasions with trouble-free experiences on every try. It even comes with two wall mounts so it can be easily transferred from the garage to the yard and it holds 150 ft of cord. Very easy to use and has been tangle free every time I've used it.

I used my new DF towels for the first time and was very impressed. They are my new towel of choice for buffing. I've not bought the new buffing towel from the store here but plan to soon.

Also, while I'm here. I used Poorboys Spray and Wipe as a window cleaner and as a claying lub yesterday and it works great! It's available in 5 gallon buckets so the cost is very low and it also works extremely well as a QD. I like it every bit as well as any of the others I"ve tried.....like Z6, Crystal Mist, Platinum and the two Meg's QDs.

I bought a cord reel from Home Depot for $5.00 yesterday. It's ingenious. You thread it in a little hole and then reel it up. It's plastic and winds up a 100ft of cord. It's portable - doesn't attach to anything.

Jumbled up cords and hoses are the worst.

I had several of those reels. The problem I've always not been able to solve is how to use it. If I leave enough of the cord loose at the center to reach a wall plug then it flops around as I'm reeling/unreeling the rest of the cord sometimes hitting me in the kisser! If I don't leave enough hanging out to reach the plug then I have to unreel all the cord to use it.

I must be missing something!?:wall

JimS,

Those Home Depot reels work fine for me. I leave enough of the cord loose at the center to reach a wall plug. To keep it from flopping around as I'm reeling/unreeling the rest of the cord, I insert it in the center hole, making sure that there's enough cord to go completely through the hole with the plug hanging out the other side. If I reel carefully enough, the cord stays within the confines of the hole, thus saving the occasional slap in the face.
