Hv tried to find info on correct Polycharger dosage for AG's Extreme Gloss Protection (EGP), but couldn't find definitive recommendations.
I have done my own testing, and have arrived at what works for me, in my type of climate (tropical, humid and hot @ approx 32C).
Dosages tried:
1 dose for 1 oz
1 dose for 0.5oz
EGP is very watery and used thinly, hence the small qtys above.
Vehicle:
Black Golf GTi Turbo. OEM paint.
Prep:
Megs 85, Menzerna 106FF with DA, Menzerna 85RD with DA
Wash with Dawn, wipedown with alcohol+water mix.
Cosmetics:
Zaino Z2 Pro + ZFX (2layers, with Z6 in between)
PC'ed EGP (3 layers)
Dosage for PC'ed EGP:
1 dose for 0.5oz
Application of PC'ed EGP:
Very thin layer. Waited 10mins and buffed off entire car.
Waited 20mins, applied 2nd layer. Wait 10mins. Buff off.
Waited 20mins, applied 3rd layer. Wait 10mins. Buff off.
Ease of application:
Identical to regular EGP.
Do not use long strokes, or it might leave behind a long stroke mark that is difficult to buff off. Use very small circular movements to apply an extremely whisper-thin layer.
Hazing Period:
Approx 5mins, and the PC'ed EGP can be buffed off without leaving any smudges, smears or streaks.
Buffing Off:
Fold mfiber cloth into a 1/2"-1" thick small pad, and use only very small circular movement and light pressure over a small area. Avoid long, sweeping strokes with a large cloth. Work in small areas.
Appearance:
Heavenly!!! Wet looking and has respectable depth. Slight deepening of colour.
3 layers is the max I would go, before diminishing returns set in. It simply makes me want to apply further layers!
Further enhancement (optional):
DODO Juice Orange (for warm colours) x 1 layer.
This wax gives a significant jetting effect (not noticeable with Blue Velvet)and this jetting effect on top of PC'ed EGP, is simply amazing. Very wet look and blacker blacks.
This has become my fav combo for black cars now!!!!
