Edge pads

Do you use them? Like them? Which ones do you use more often/like best? Flat or waffle? Do you use them on both ROB and rotary?

How about their wool pads, are thay any good? Which one would you get for removing 2000 or 3000 grit scratches from late model Corvette clear coat? As you know it is very hard.

I recently switched to them and so far I like them a lot. I am both a rotary and PC user.

I mostly have waffle. I have a yellow and blue waffle 6", and white 6" flat. I also have 1 8" blue waffle which I have not tried yet. They were out of greens when I was picking them up and black seemed so course.

I also noticed that the flat yellow was very hard and the waffle yellow was softer but the pore size is the same.

I have an 8 inch flat yellow and green. Both are nice pads and work well. I think the waffle would leave less hollogramming with a rotary.

love the edge pads. So easy to work with. I have the 8in edge set (flat). I use them on rotary. I usually use the green for polishing and blue/white for finishing. I would start with the green with Menzerna PO85RD or PO106FF. Both of these will finish well.

Been using both the 6" and 8" flat pads for about 3 years . Blue and green are what I use most , yellow for heavier stuff. Wool pads work great if you never used them they do tend to make a mess with fuzz, they also cut quicker becareful. Even the 6" wool pads cut faster with the PC compared to foam. If your refering to sanding marks (2000 -3000 grit) try wool either green or blue like I said wool cut faster . Get a combo blue/green wool pad you won't be sorry . :buffing:

Where can I get a combo blue/green 6" pad from? Or should I just ask my distributor to order it for me right from Edge.

I don't want to name names I'll IM you here. You may have a had time finding a 6" combo pad in stock so order it from your distributor . He may not want to be bothered with custom orders but try. The 8" combo's are most common.
