im gonna buy some new pads for my dewalt rotary i have been looking at the lake country CCS pads which seem to be pretty good from what i have heard. i just came across the edge 2k system wtih adapter and 5 pads for 100 bucks. which will i get better results with last longer, which is a better product? i am going to be using them for all purposes from compounding to polish to glazing.

im in the same boat as you are. and there was a little write up by dave kg about the ccs pads do not soak up the polish.

I can't comment on the new CCS pads I'm sure if you do a search here you'll come up with some reviews on them. Now about the Edge pads, I'll share with you what another detailer had to to say about them when I asked if he every used them before. He told me the pads last so long he doesn't have to buy as many pads. Which is both good and bad news , good for the detailer and bad for the manufacture . Well its good and bad for them , bad in that the detailer doesn't buy pads as frequently and good in that its a testament of how durable and long lasting Edge pads are .

If you read through most of the threads here I think you'll come up with this conclusion . You can get whatever results your after with many different products , its not so much about the product/products used, as it is about the process you go through to achive the end results. There's as many different products as there are people using them, in the end what each detail has in common is a nice shiny finish . Pick something and use it , take time to learn how to get the best out of it . Something so many people don't do. Good luck :buffing:
