Edge 2000 durafoam or wavy for rotary?

"Luck" Residue of design
Hi everyone. OK after obsessing over a polisher purchase for a week now and studying some how to videos, I've finally decided on the makita rotary and the Edge 2000 pads. What I would like to know from edge 2000 rotary users is what you think about the durafoam flat type pads VS. the wavy pads. I am not asaking which pads are the best as I know I'll get the "it's a matter of prefference" feedback. What I want to hear is "I like the wavy pads better because" or "The durafoam pads are my go to pads because". I don't mean to sound too demanding of anything but just want to make an informed decision, so what are the attributes of these pads? Does one type hold the product longer or break the product down better, does one have more integrity over the other. I'm thinking more of what works well on dark color cars than on white or light. I will be using mostly Poorboys products and I will be using a cyclo as my orbital to clean up any holograms and such. I have never used a rotary but I am not scared either. whatever oppinions that you all will share with me will be greatly appreciated.

Patrick, thank you for the information. I purchased the Makita rotary with the full assortment of 8" durafoam pads and adaptor, I also got the 3 3/4" hook and loop flexable backing plate so that I can utilize the 4" pads that I already have. One of my co-workers is bringing me in a fender that he had laying around so I can safely get a feel for the rotary for the first time. I am excited and ready for some nice weather now.. Thanks again, Dave
