Dwg + Upgp

DWG...for some reason I thought meant Dri Wash Guard, so I accidentally ordered that and screwed myself out of like 30 bucks :grinno:

after doing some reading I see that it means Danase Wet Glaze if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is why I hate when forum people use abbreviations because I ordered the wrong product due to that :(

I also want to get some ultima paint guard plus (UPGP)

where is the best/cheapest place to get these? I understand the UPGP is like 75+ dollars? :O

well I was wondering where the cheapest/best reliable place to get it was. I know I can get it here. I'm just trying to be frugal about it.

should I even order the UPGP? or would I be fine without it?

fine?

do you have a wax or sealant that you use and like?

if so then yes you will be fine

if you need a new LSP then I think you should give it a try

I use pinnacle souveran wax, nxt 2.0 and natty's paste wax depending upon paint/application

Any thoughts - What about topping DWG with Einszett Glanz Wax for longer shine? (UPGP is too expensive for me :()

If you decide to go for the UPGP, I would get it here at Autopia. Lynn and David have top of the line customer service and if you end up not liking it, you can return it for a full refund. You can get the 4 oz bottle for $35. I little bit of this stuff goes a long way.

I'm just interested, why everyone is using exactly this combo "DWG + UPGP", what is so special about UPGP?

Anyway, I've read the forums, many people like 1Z Glanz as LSP, so I was wondering, what about topping DWG with it?

P.S. I'm a newbie, sorry if I ask dumb questions :(

It all started with this post http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/103558-super-wet.html. By the way, I will be posting more pics later today of the results one week later after one wash.

Yeah, I saw those pics, looks amazing, my question is - can other than UPGP sealant/wax keep such wetness? (I still don't understand why only UPGP).

You can try Zaino or any other sealant you want. It is all about personal taste/opinion as well as the type of paint, but IMO, UPGP leaves the wettest finish of all, but that is on my car and again my opinion. I also find that UPGP has less of a plastic/sterile look that is typical of sealants. In any case, you can top any sealant with Z8 and it will add some warmth like a nuba.
