dust issues with wax as u dry?

For all you eagle one wax as u dry users out there, do you notice more dust than usual after you use this product? I've been using this product for about 8 months and like it a lot. I noticed after using this on both of my vehicles the other day there seemed to be a moderate amount of dust on both vehicles, which sat in the garage all day. Either this product has always attracted more dust and I just started to notice this, or maybe my vehicles have always attracted dust without using this product. I'll have to keep an eye out everytime I wash and see if it matters if I use the product or not I guess.

I've been wondering the same thing. It seems like when I was using showtime, I had less dust. Since I've switched to using a 50/50 mix of waud and water as my qd, I'm wondering if maybe that was the cause.

What lsp are you using? I've been using 4*UPP for about the past 6-7 months.

I'm using wax as u dry over a carnauba topper, but then again whatever carnauba is left on the surface can't be much as it's been about two months.

How could this be?

It seems to be like it caused build up. I'm going to just use QD and a regular MF after I wash from now on, because I don't have the $17 to spend on another WW after the one i just ordered.

Have you tried some white vinegar added to your final rinse? I cant believe that any buildup would be impossible to remove. I have had some build up myself but a long hot wash and vinegar rinse would always bring em back. Give it a shot. If you buy store brand you can get if for less than 50 cents too

I am not using wax as you dry anymore. It ruined my poor waffleweave :(

I had the same thing happen to me. I dedicated that WW to WAUD, but it doesn't absorb anymore, it just spreads the water. I tried all sorts of washing techniques to remove the build up to no avail.

I will stick to Mothers showtime after my washes or lately optimum spray wax.

Yes, I have. I have rinsed it a lot, the water is always clear in the washer after I'm done, but once it dries--it is no longer absorbant.

If water is sprinkled on it, it will actually bead up water before penetrating.

This could be a whole new topic in itself. I haven't noticed this problem and I've been using waud for a while now. I'm not doubting any of you, as I find this very odd. Anyhow, can we get back to my original question?

I would be interested to hear from more people about what ill effects this has on their waffles. Maybe someone could start a separate topic on this?

After a rough winter last yr I stumbled upon WAUD and used it weekly. I would use it as a QD not "as you dry" as intended. I never got good results using it in that fashion. It leaves a nice shine, and actually got me a bit lazy when it came to doing the spring overhaul. Once I did do a clean and wax though, it didn't compare. I use it on trim now....yes TRIM....try it works nicely and makes it nice and black.

As for the dusting, I am not surprised. It is a VERY oily product.
