Duragloss Sport Utility Polish and Cleaner?

I've searched and searched, but cannot find any feedback on this. This item appears to be discontinued, but my local CarQuest has lots of it left. I picked up a bottle yesterday (while purchasing AW!). Has anyone tried this? From the brochure, it's "No. 108 Sport Utility Polish and Cleaner". I plan to try this on a 6 month old Mariner, and top it off with AW. I don't need much of a "cleaner", but based on comments for 105, I doubt this will be too harsh. I assume it's only for SUVs (j/k).

They didn't have any AW in stock, but they were able to get it within 2 hours. :bigups

Haven't heard of it or used it, but the 108 sounds pretty similar to their 101 polish and cleaner. If it is like 101, it will have significantly more cleaning properties than the 105TPP, and it will have durability in the 2-3 month range. You might want to email or call the guys at DG asking about it to get a bit more info.

Regards,

Mike

Here's the answer I received back from Duragloss:

Thank you for your inquiry. Part# 108 is completely clear coat safe. This product has been out of our line for some time. We found that our #101 have the same results. Let us know if you are not completely satisfied.

Thank you,

I will try it, but it appears to be more of an AIO product -- that could be followed by 105 then AW? Maybe I'll try it on my car -- which has older paint?

Yep, I figured it was similar to the 101, which is an AIO type product. The 105 is nothing like an AIO product, IMO. So, your choice will depend on the level of cleaning you need to do to your paint. 105 will do virtually none. I would just use 105 personally, followed by AW.

I have been using the 101 ..which sounds like the old 108 ..before doing 105 and have gotten outstanding results...DG said 105 bonds perfect to 101...

101 has some strong cleaners and also some micro abrasives so it does improve the finish to a nice gloss with protection like AIO...now topped with 105 adds a whole new look..very wet looking...

Here is a post from a person who used the 101 and 105 method on his car after I told him of it

Thanks. I guess I need to pick up some 105 now. I really don't need a cleaner on my 07. I can use it next time on my 05 Neon. With the 108/105/AW, I should have a nice combo for around $26. I even got a free sample of their wash:)
