Duragloss #601 question,

JOE.M.

This space for rent
Can 601 be used as a base with any sealant or is it made to work with Duragloss products specifically?

Thanks for the responce! now my question is, should it be applied by hand or can I use my spanky new PC? Same question fro the sealer, will the PC just strip the 601?

I apply 601 by hand and I don't think I would use a PC to apply it.
There again, I apply all my LSPs by hand. I tried applying LSPs with the PC and didn't see any benefit.
My PC is for polishing only.
However, with an AIO type of product, I do use the PC.
PwC, PwS, Poli-Seal, KAIO, NXT 2.0.

I have tried to use 601 bonding agent but did not have good experience. May be I am not applying it right but the TPP stage (is that 105 or 501? I get confused with their numbering) after that smears badly with 601 underneath.

I can't speak for your experience/problem, but I have no problem with smearing using 601 followed by 105.

FWIW, 501 is the Marine / RV Polish. Another good product.

I have had #105 smear, check out my post in detailing product discussion misc.
and I didn't use the 601 under it.

Rockit did you ever figure out what you did wrong.
If you had a followup I missed it,
I have never had a problem with 105 :yay

Maybe I applied it over a product that was not compatible with it?
Not sure what happened, I used the 105 on my both silver cars with great results.
Might have been the oils in a polish I had on the car that caused the hazing.
