It sounds like the #253 is a "drier" product and tends to last longer. Do you think it would be a good choice for the winter months or have you found something better?

I don't think its any better than Mother's FX in that regard. Like I mentioned, FX washes away clean and there is no residual crap on the tire to trap dirt like there is with other "durable" OTC products.
