Duetto vs Harley Davidson F150 + Black Label Coating
work was completed jan 24th (just now had time to put writeup on here)
24 hours total invested but i did take my sweet time on this one. This one was actually a very fun project as the truck belongs to one of my best friends who came up to visit just to have his truck detailed and coated. If the Denali-XL broke in the duetto, then I’d say this F150 cemented the duetto as one bad you know what.
Truck was trashed, paint chips galore (but he did not want to fix them), looked like he drove it through a couple dozen mesquite bushes and shrubs. One large mark was unfixable on the rear passenger side.
CG Citrus Red Foam and Bucket Wash
Wolf De-Ironizer (on wheels too)
Nanoskin Handi Towel with Nanoskin Glide
WW Drying Towel
Rupes Duetto
Rupes 6 inch mf cutting disk with rupes blue compound gel
Mens SF 4500 on LC HT Tangerine 5.5 pad (had best results with this after the compounding)
Pinnacle Black Label prep polish via red ccs hand applicator
Pinnacle Black Label paint, wheel, glass coating
Black Onyx gel on tires (after apc cleaning of course)
and lots of nice mf towels
Some before pics:

50/50 after both stages and before any coating prep

Left side rupes mf cut and blue gel only, you can see how well it cut and also see how well the menz sf4500 finishes afterwards (right side)
