Dual Action Polisher Pads

I'm in the market for some new pads for my Porter cable. I am after some cutting pads and some polishing pads. In the past, I have used LC orange cutting pads and LC white polishing pads (all 6.5 inch)

The supplier I have used before no longer carries these. Does anyone know where I can get these for a good price? Or is there a better/equivalent brand?

Is 6.5 inch a good size to use?

Do people prefer the flat pads or the VC pads?

Thanks in Advance

I just picked up some of the Propel pads on Friday from Patrick @ http://www.exceldetail.com/

Great price, product and service !

I currently use Sonus DAS brand and have no reason to go back to them
now that I have used the Propel pads.

What colour pads from the Excel Detail range will be closest to the LC ones I've been using?

I'm guessing the two brands' orange pads will be similar, as will the grey.

What will be closest to the LC white?

Cheers

I do not know...I never used the LC label/pad.
Tell me what you use a white for (unless some other DC member knows the answer to your question), and I will tell you what Propel pad would be used.

This is how Patrick's site describes the two polishing pads:

Propel Blue Light-Polishing Pad. Aggressive level 1 , (0-5)
Propel Green Light Cut Pad. Aggressive level 2 (0-5)

I use the LC white polishing pad, the Meguiar's beige polishing pad and the blue and green Propel pads. Honestly, they seem fairly similar. I have read the description that the Propel green is "just" more aggessive than the Meg's polishing pad and the Propel Blue "just" less agressive than the Meg's.

Since you need pads anyway, and based on Patrick's product and shipping prices, why not buy a couple of each? :bigups

MIK....Sounds like your looking for a good pad and I would suggest the Propel pads I mentioned above. Give Patrick a call.

i was thinking about purchasing the dual action pads from the pinnaclewax site. a fellow detailer in my area suggested that i try them, other than that i would suggest to you the edge pads (pricing, and what I have heard from this site).
