Drying: Dab or Wipe? Both? Opinions needed.

Just recently purchased a large blue MF towel and it works like a charm to dry my car. I didn't notice any marring at all. First I "dabbed" or blotted excess water with The Absorber, then used the MF to finish.

What are your techniques for drying? I hear around here it's a rule of thumb to dab and not wipe.

I wipe the car down to dry....if you have washed the car properly and its dirt free and you are using a good MF towel then there is nothing to drag across the finish...most all marrying is caused by improper washing not the dry stage per-say.
