I read this too...I go to that forum as well...mainly for recalls and problems, never for detailing advice as some of the people on that board I am suprised they have paint left at all.

As for the dryer sheets, I am not sure whats in a dryer sheet to begin with, although I have read that what ever is on them can cause the drier vents to get clogged from what ever is on it. So I will let them try it first.:)

That's funny its the reason that I signed up for that forum...I post using the same nic over there...I had to replace my battery in my 04 yesterday so I started a thread asking if this was normal...turns out the battery in the 03 & 04 where under powered and burned out quicker....I've got one power house in it now!

I use them for recall stuff primarily, thats how I found out about that ugly gas shield on my car now...

I'll admit I heard about this about a year ago and have tried it. It does work. You dampen the sheet with water and wipe away. It melts the bug guts. I don't use it anymore. I've moved up to Poorboy's BS for this year. lol

Dont know why someone would try it on a vehicle but dryer sheets do work as a bug repellent for your skin. But I guess if it works on your paint go for it.
