Drove a scat pack 392 challenger

Look at Ron's recent posts. His son just bought one of those 392's. He's worried now, he'll be looking at his boy's tail lights through his Vette's windshield. ;) :) ;) :)

Actually scat pack and srt are different

believe srt has heavier suspension/tires/brakes etc

Yeah, I knew that. They have more packages than I have a handle on. I changed my post before I saw your reply as I knew he didn't have the Scat Pak. That said, those two are runnin' in the same league and no I don't think you ought to be too scared in that Black Chevy. At the very least I'm sure you're several hundred pounds lighter from the get go.

I didn't want to go there as I'm thinkin' that would start to even things out. ;)

Nothing like a little "pot" stirring at Ron's house!:dnaughty Perhaps a trip to the track is in the near future to keep sonny boy in his place!:D:D

To ensure victory make sure there is a few hairpin turns on your course.

Ron, I think to ensure your straight line dominance you should convince him to run from a 10 mph roll. Everything I've seen has indicated that the extra weight the Mopars are packing helps them hook up off the line. These launch like a rocket from a dead stop with a set of drag radials. The HellCats were dipping into the 10's.

SRT Hellcat Challenger 1/4 Mile 10.8 w/ Drag Radials - YouTube

I saw a HellCat article that showed this car achieving 60 ft. times that were hard to believe. You'd think the 700 H.P. HellCat would just sit in the same place and liquefy rubber but they were really launching this car. I'm not discounting the Vette, a set of DOT drag radials and a little practice feathering that clutch on the stripe and you'll get him either way. Both cars using the OE tires the SRT might have an edge on the line. I'm hoping to see the GoPro version of this match up.

Meant to ask you, which transmission is in his SRT?

YEP/ Thats the other one they have. Did you drive it? What did you think?

Nice power with the 392...I had a 2009 R/T 5.7 you can tell the difference. They just did not want to give me a fair price for my trade :(

There`s one @ Columbiana Dodge I will look into.
