Within 24 hours after a good wash and dry a layer of dust accumulates. Is it necessary to wash and dry again or is there an easier way to get the dust off on a quick basis? Any good ideas for getting it back to looking washed again? Thanks.

Yup. Its called a good QD, my friend. :xyxthumbs Platinum is my personal favorite so far.

Another option (I can't even believe I'm suggesting it) would be to get a California Car Duster. Be ever so careful with it though. It has been known to swirl the crap out of fine cars. Be very very careful with it if you get one. It will help get the dust off for sure though. What it does to the finish under the dust will be up to you and how well you can master the CCD. They need to teach a 6 week class on proper usage of California products like the CWB and CCD. lol

Which wax are you using? Some attract alot more dust than others. For example, I switched from Blitz Wax to P21S because the Blitz was a dust magnet. Zaino, I've heard, also attracts alot of dust. To answer your other question, QD is Quick Detailer, which is good for removing light dust. Some people use a leaf blower to blow excess water off of their car before drying, it would probably work for blowing off most of the dust that accumulates on the car.

The CCD and QD are great suggestions IMHO. One other possible option is the Quick & Easy Wash by Protectall. It takes very little water and a dusty car can be done 100% with a spray bottle using probably a pint or less of water. A fairly dirty car won't use a gallon. Seems to work good. It might be a gray area with water restrictions, but I wouldn't think using a spray bottle to wash your car would cause too many problems. Then again, I don't have the problem in my area. I use the stuff because it's fast and it does a good job.

Get yourself a california car duster and some QD, and a few good MF's. I have a black M3 which I wash maybe 1 time per week, sometimes less. Unless it rains. My car is a dust magnet, or seems like it b/c of the color. These two items will save you plenty of time.

I think WAYD needs to be sprayed on a wet car...

Sometimes, if the dust is fresh, try driving the car first, if the dust is fine enough and fresh enough, 80% of it will be off your car... leaving 20% to QD...

I always get dust in the morning (i wash at night) and I used to slave myself with morning QD to get rid of the dust, which is a hassle and a pain for my MF...

One morning i got lazy and say dust all over my just re-waxed car, i didn't QD, drove off to work, when i got to my office, i found that most of the dust are gone and what's left for me to QD are light specs of dust...
