Driving with Women..........

Oh man if you think that`s bad I should set up a camera in my car.

Everything from my wife not knowing what to eat to in-laws jumping out on the highway. My mom takes the cake, she just screams 90% of the time "STOP, SLOW DOWN, LOOK OUT, DID YOU SEE HIM, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, WHERE ARE YOU GOING, WHY!". My wife tenses up and grabs the offroading handle a lot.

My male friends aren`t as bad but they think it`s ok to crack a beer open in my car and I don`t even drink! Another friend took my steering wheel and got into a moving fist fight with another car next to me (downtown), that was priceless. Most recently I did a WOT take off and my youngest son said he couldn`t breathe while the engine was going vroom.

Heh heh, you opened the door for me with that title ;)

The *BEST* driver/driving instructor I`ve ever known (really known IRL and trained under) is a woman. (Hi, J9!) Actually, the best several Instructors I`ve had were women, I`ve come to expect that.

IME the Top Gun at *many* classes is often a woman (Accumulatorette included).

Yeah, yeah...I know, but I`m gonna squawk every time gender-based stereotypes come up, at least ones that are foreign to my experience. Overall, IRL, the men I know are as [crappy] at driving as the women, they just make different mistakes (often caused by testosterone-induced stupidity). If we`d start telling teenage girls that "women make the best drivers, you`re gonna be superb at this!" the whole idea of Women Drivers could undergo a sea-change in one generation.

Women tend to be better instructors, though not always the best at what they are teaching. Proficient? Yes.

I won`t let my wife give me directions anymore because she is exactly like every example in the video.

Recently had small street repair done on my street just two houses away. A large traffic cone was placed on it to prevent cars from driving through the fresh tar. One of my neighbors (fitting so many stereotypes) coming home took out the cone and dragged it a good distance before stopping. She was totally confused when she got out to look at what she had hit. We have tons of kids in the neighborhood and I could only imagine if one of them had been there instead of the cone.
