Drawing in biz?

We just recently started detailing in our shop, and I'm trying to drum up biz. The flyers approach doesn't seem to work, over 1000 out there and not a 1 has come in. I was thinking about going around to local biz's banks and such, and giving a free wash to try us out to someone. Any other suggestions.

Try a few local used car dealers, they don't like to pay a lot but it's a startig point and they have lots of cars on their lots

I personally don't like driving people around..it's a waste of time and also adds higher risk and liability...

other than that , I 'm with Jeff....get Natty's helper or get some topless girls..that'll draw them in...

and don't forget to call us when you hire them...we'll all get in line..lol

First decide whos vehicles you want to detail.

Dealers? Soccer moms? people that make $100,000 + a year? classic cars??

Each group has specific needs and purchases detailing for different reasons.
So first pick the group or combination of groups and target them.

Want dealers - Go to them and promote that you can reconditon their vehicles quickly and at a low price.

Want soccer moms - promote at day cares grocery stores and such. Tell them you have a powerful hot water extractor that will clean up all the mess kids do to their SUV/MINI VANS.

$100,000 crowd - promote at high end golf courses, spas, join a business association.

Make sure you pick only one or two groups (if they are simiular) because doing a hack job on a dealer car then a show prep on a classic car is going to take different types of products and techniques.

You ge the idea.
