Dramatic Klasse Pictures!

I went over to a friends house the other day and as usual I bring my Klasse with me everywhere I go! He pointed to his 93 Regal that had terrible scratches from improper washing. At first I though there was no way Klasse would do anything for him but we shocked ourselves. Our speculation is that the car was oxidized under the paint and the Klasse removed the oxidization and swirls with it. Anyway, here is his writeup and the pics.

"Ok, so my buddy Chris is always trying to push this Klasse wax stuff on me and I'm all like no no no, figured it's just some other wax. I've always used mothers even tried Meguiar's cause everyone's all "Meguiar's is the sh*t" and all that.

So anyway he was over today and pulled some out of his truck and wanted to show me it work cause I'm so skeptical. So I finally said ok, told him to do a spot on my old work beater a 93 Buick Regal GranSport. It's dark blue metallic and faded and scratched up real bad. It looks like someone washed it with an SOS pad! Anyway, he looks as it and goes 'it won't work on that...this paint is shot'. I laugh but tell him to go ahead and impress me. So he tries it, and ends up impressing himself as well as me. It took out the scratches and swirl marks like you wouldn't believe! It made the paint look like it looks when it's wet. I was thoroughly impressed.

But wait he says, that was just the all in one...let me try the sealer and glaze on it too.

So he kinda suckered me into buying a kit cause now I've got this stupid obvious spot on my hood that I just can't hide. It's the only super shiny spot on the car now...and it bead water off it like crazy, so I know it won't get dirty again like the rest of the car.

Klasse is amazing stuff. I was really impressed, and I'm not easily impressed. The paint even feels different...like so smooth...like glass, but smoother...maybe due to the acrylic in it? But it's awesome stuff. You can even use it on glass!

N E Way, just gotta give my recommendation on Klasse

I'll try and get a picture tomorrow when it's light out...it's amazing.

*NOTE, this car was done by hand, no machine used!

i have been using the PC alot in the past couple of details... sometimes I feel that I could get a better result by hand.

that looks awesome!

I had similar results on my car a while back (in taking out those micro-scratches). However, I had used an application of #9 swirl remover, BEFORE my application of Klasse AIO. I attributed the removal of the scratches to the #9...but now I dont know...

Now that my car is ready for another such detail, I'm thinking of skipping the #9 and going straight to Klasse.

It'll save me bunch of time too....

What on earth was that car washed with? I suspect some sort of brush!

Truely excellent results!

Have you now introduced him to lambswool washmitts and the two bucket method?

I believe the car was oxidized and the scratches were on the oxidization. Klasse usually does not remove scratches of this nature.

I'm impressed. I love Klasse. I did an experiment on really bad paint by using AIO on a PC. I had some measure of success too being that I only had about 30 minutes to wash and polish. I did the hood and part of the roof. It was funny how parts of the car were glossless and the hood and roof were shiny.

Anyway, I guess we both have some finishing up to do later.

I'm willing to bet the effect was a combination of AIO rounding off the scratches, removing some of the oxidation, and SG filling them in. They look very light and fine, so this is possible to a certain extent, but they are probably still there if you look very closely in person.

Still, very impressive difference! :)
