DP Max Wax question

Bunky

Detailing Gnosis
I had used DP Max Wax for the first time several weeks ago. I applied by machine and it went on and came off very nicely. I rated the looks in the "coating" look and decent slickness.

So, after a few weeks and a couple rains, I finally got to wash it. I noticed that the sides (doors) did not sheet water very well. The upper surfaces still sheeted well (almost self dry) without much coaxing. During washing the sides, I could not really feel much difference felt I still had protection. In my experience the nubas go first on upper surfaces first but hold up well on the sides.

Anyone else seen similar results or can report on durability?

I thought that was very odd as well Al. In Florida horizontals definitely go first.

In the north during winter with salt is the only time I would think the verticals would go first.

This is my usual problem with any protection. For me the lower sides almost always go first when I am driving the vehicle on a regular basis. I find the road debris and contaminates really do a number on these panels. My roof, hood, and trunk almost always outlast the sides.

As far as durability I only found around 3 weeks. Usually for me the beading has fallen off to the point where I want to top it up after 2 weeks. IMO MaxWax is a beauty wax and not a durable wax.

Spot on Troy. it happens alot here in Florida and more when your very close to the water.

I can say that I get 2-3 months out of an application. More towards the 3 month. I have the version in the white tub b4 it got changed to the black tubs.. Interesting, Al.
