...Dreaming on an E92....
You're finished with a customers car and they can do nothing but simply stand back and gawk at their vehicle
A client of mine traded in his '04 BMW 530i for an '04 545i with the 6 spd manual (#1 on my favorite vehicle list :dnaughty ). Both are identical minus the interior (Old was tan, new is black). It's that sonic blue color and he has some awesome 19" wheels he upgraded to (I think they're M5 wheels?). I showed up to wash it today and it was dirty but not in terrible shape, IMO it needed a light polish but since I was there for a quick wash I told him I'd throw a coat of wax on it for free, which he of course didn't refuse (I didn't have anything else to do today, so I figured I'd make it look purrty
). Slapped a coat of Megs #20 on the paint/wheels and some AIO on all the black pieces and it came out SHARP, when I backed it out of his garage neither of us could stop staring at it (We're both nuts for that car though
), before the paint had some minor swirling and just looked mute, totally flat. #20 gave it tons of life, and the wheels have a nice pop too. He was doing some landscaping in the front yard and asked me to back it into the driveway so he could stare at it while he worked, I've NEVER had a customer that satisfied. I get the usual "It looks awesome!" but I've never had someone just sit and gawk at their car. It made me feel pretty darn good if I may say so
no pics of the car, but I'll snap some tomorrow when I return to wash his truck (Lifted F-150). I'm thinking about throwing in an additional coat of #20 for the BMW while I'm there, ever since I left all I've been thinking is "If it looks this good now, what would a second coat do?" :crazy2:
I love detailing
