Does Zaino make dark colored cars appear plastic looking

I was told that Zaino made dark colored cars plastic looking. Can anyone varify this for me before I go and spend $100 on the product.

Some people say its "plasticky". The look is very glossy, a lot of reflectivity. Not much depth. The Z tends to reflect more than refract light.

A carnauba will offer a nice reflection but add some warmth and depth to the paint. While I use Z on my dark green car I think carnaubas look better on the darker colors.

This is really an OCD issue. The average person simply can't tell the diff but us super-neurotic detailing nuts can tell, that's for sure.

I know it's a lot of $$, I hesitated too. I'm happy that I have Z but frankly I was about as happy with Pinnacle, One Grand, Finish First, and all the other stuff I was using before Z. If you're like many of us, you've got to buy Z just to try it. Got to satisfy that urge!! :D

Thanks for the info. but I also heard that when you put Z on it is on for good and you can't take it off sence it is a paint sealant. Is that true?

Nope, not true. Rubbing alcohol will remove Zaino. Also mechanical abrasives in most paint polishes will remove it. And, of course, so will time and exposure to the elements.

I'm sure other products will remove Zaino but you get the idea.

It is far more durable and will last much longer. Just how long depends on the elements and the circumstances. For me, Zaino will last 4-5 months longer than any Carnuba. Easy.

I have heard the word "plastic" to describe Zaino before. That is such a bad, bad word to describe such a fine product. Perhaps it's not the warmest looking but "plastic" makes it sound cheap.

It is extremely reflective, does'nt tint the color and make it darker like most waxes so some people say it's not warm. What it does is show the true color, shine like nobodys business, and outlast all other competitors by months.

Try it you will love it!

Calling Zaino "plasticky" and "cold" is the same as calling carnaubas "oily" and "slimey". The put downs mean the same.

Zaino is a nice product and works well but so do others. People should experiment with different brands and products to create the look they like.

True True,

I just get woked up when I hear that world

I like the look of wax too, especially Souveran. I just like the way Zaino looks better. It's "my kinda shine".

Others prefer the look of Carnuba. To each thier own.

Try them both and judge for yourself.
