Beads pretty good for me too. Combined with Optimum No Rinse, I don't think there is a faster way to wash and wax your car. :)

I have been doing alot of cars lately with the No Rinse. I did an H2 the other day along with a 911 and an SL65. The H2 took an hour, inside and out, and the other 2 took under an hour, inside and out. The SL got a layer of OCW applied also.

Once you get the hang of the No Rinse you soon learn that you can clean a car in blazing speed. One man interior the other exterior.

I love the beading pics by the way :)

OCW is all I use as an LSP unless I want to use a sealant. I get 3 to 4 months of good protection with OCW, and its so easy to use.

Does anybody think OCW looks even better after the initial application?

I sure wish I could get close to that :nixweiss

Mmmm, I wonder why. Maybe The hot Texas Sun?? The reason I always use it is because of the durability I get out of it. Comparible to a good patse wax but fatser to apply.

General Lee,

Yes. It needs a good 12 hours to 1.5 days to reach the peak of its optical potential, depending of paint condition.

Exactly, I meant to say the next day or so in my first post. :)

I'm thinking of picking up the Optimum Porter Cable kit. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Optimum, and seems it's real easy and quick to use/clean up with. Does the Optimum stuff repel dirt/water etc. I'm looking for something that I can quickly wash/wipe down where the dirt and whatever else won't really stick to the car.

Yep, just like the beading I've experienced. I don't use it alot - don't know why, though, since it's about the easiest to apply of the quality wax products on the market. Go figure.... :o

How exactly are you suppose to use Opt No Rinse?

1. No initial rinse

2. Pour ONR in bucket with water

3. Wash car

4. Rinse

?

It's designed to be used without rinsing. Unless of course it's severely dirty, then you may want to rinse prior. However, you just wash and dry, no rinsing.

It is designed to be used exactly as the instructions on the container say. Wash a section at a time, dry immediately.

I'm going to be posting later today - I cleaned my sisters car yesterday for the first time since December. She's selling it so it needed some work. Anyway, she'd washed it maybe 3-4 times since I last detailed it and yesterday OCW was still beading (loosely, but still there). No garage and driven pretty heavily throughout the winter (which was admittedly very mild).

My ocw finding are very good, I chose it as my go to product this past winter. With the road salt , auto -mated carwashes , and throwing a coat on about 1 a month it held up excellent IMO. Super nice product and I do feel it's last better than msot paste waxes as claimed.

Can I use the waterless wash like I would use PB Spray & Wipe. PB S&W is an excellent product , but alway's looking for something better or new to try. This S&W product's is so popular with PB,I kind of find it hard to believe that nobody has anything similar out there......Any help with this ??

Does OCW contain any solvents or any cleaning agents at all? I would like to use it as a LSP over sealant but I'm hesitant because I don't want to loose any of the sealants. (AIO followed by EX-P).

Secondly, I love to hear opinions on how it compares to P21S and Souveran. I know it's a different beast but I'd still love to know!

Fallguy, have you seen Protect All's QEW or DP's 4 in 1 Rinsless wash? Same type of product as ONRW&S but IMO the Optimum leaves the surface slicker and with more gloss than the other two products. The above products are my only car washes because I am on water restriction at a townhouse with a well. They work better than PB's S&W for a full cleaning/wash. I have S&W as well but I am hesitant to use it for anything more than a "heavier" QD.

Thanks!

Eric
