1st of a few jobs I`ve done recently. One of our neighbors decided to surprise her husband while they were at Disney World on vacation and had me clean up his truck while they were gone. Not sure what year the truck was, but it only had about 36k miles on it, and holy smokes was it beat to hell. The interior was beyond dirty and the paint was covered every square inch in swirls and scratches. Although it needed to be compounded, she decided to just do a one step, so I did what I could with HD Speed. Process as follows:

2BW with Blackfire Car Wash
Paint decon with medium grade Speedy Surface prep mitt
Paint was polished with HD speed using a Blue Rupes microfiber pad on a Rupes machine

Interior surfaces were cleaned with OPC and then treated with Four Star Vinyl Protectant

Unfortunately at the time I did the work, it was all after work during the week, so I didn`t get a lot of good pics. Here`s some side by side`s of the interior:

WOW, that think was in bad shape for that low of miles. I understand scratches and dents will happen to a truck if you really use it for work but you can still keep it clean. Looks like it been through a lot of tunnel of death washes.

He`s a dispatcher for the police or fire department, so I`m not sure how it got that bad lol

That driver`s door looked horrible. Beat, is right. Awesome work and great results on the paint and interior. HD Speed is a great product.

What was the husband `s reaction? Will think his wife traded off his truck on a new one:)

I dropped it back off at his house before they got back, but his wife told my wife that he was pretty pumped

Thanks for taking the time to take pictures and make a thread. I enjoyed seeing your work by the truck`s turn-around.
I`ve never used HD Speed. Seems like it has a decent amount of cutting ability considering the dramatic differences in the 50/50`s.

I`ve used speed on an orange foam pad and saw similar results. It really is a great product for this type of jobs where the owner doesn`t want to fork out the money for the compound.

Yowza! That turned out great. Worth every penny you could have charged!!!

Today while compounding an Altima with D300 and MF pads I couldnt help thinking to myself that I could be just using Speed and get VERY similar results but the customer wants 2 steps.
