do you wash your new mitts before 1st use?

Yes, I always do. New mitts seem to be always loaded with extra lint that gets everywhere if you don't wash them, plus there was a time where the mitt *wasn't* in that plastic baggie, so there's no telling what's in it. It might be a little overboard, but hey, why not?

I have, from light machine washing to a simple quick wash by hand and rinse in the sink with some car wash first.

I wash 'em too. Somebody here who knows his textiles (IIRC it was DFTowel) once said that if you ever saw such things being manufactured you'd really :scared: and you'd *always* wash *anything* before using (or wearing) it.
